A downloadable game

The alpha build of the RPG I've been working on. It's an NES inspired RPG in the style of old classics like FF1 and DQ1. The alpha here is just the first continent but it definitely gives people a chance to try the game at and get a feel for what it's like. The difficulty might be on the harder side but the game can be switched to easy from the menu which should make the game much more accessable. If you're brave enough to switch it to hard just know I've not tested a playthrough of that out yet.

Soon I'll have a questionaire up asking about peoples thoughts and experiences on what is essentially a demo. My hope is to have the game complete...ish sometime in the next 3-5 months working on adding more content to the game from this point forward. (August 13 2022 at the time of writing).

Once you've played it if you can fill out this survey that might work I'd appreciate it. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/867HG28

Almost the entire game was made with me on stream over at https://www.twitch.tv/scrap_mettle come check out if you have critique or just want to see the method to my madness.

If you want to get the most up to date... well updates then the discord at https://discord.gg/wQqpfJjqSv is where you can find them. I update when I'm streaming and progress made on the project.

Most assets were created by me, but the music is currently a placeholder. I'm using tracks from...

https://clericbob.itch.io/restless Cleric Bob
https://evilduckk.itch.io/hel-circle-sfx-and-music Evil Duckk

https://xdeviruchi.itch.io/8-bit-fantasy-adventure-music-pack xdeviruchi

https://theodore-kerr.itch.io/lets-go-action-chiptune Theodore Kerr

Without all of these my game would sound much worse. I'll be looking into getting music assets created custom for the game before too long but these people have made some very solid placeholders so check them out.
